How we should live life according to Aryeh

How should we live in this world?

According to Ishmael i haven't really fully understood the way people should live but i think because he is an animal and he knows a lot of history well according to what he tells our narrator. Ishmael says
"They were looking at a half of one-percent of the evidence taken from a single culture-- Not a reasonable sample on which to base such a sweeping conclusion."
what i understand is that the people are making one thing and using that and making that the only defense as why we "people" live like this. Im thinking of religion where the people use to tell other people who are trying to defend the animal ways and mother culture ways to stop or to ease on the norms of the peoples ways.

how i should think we should live life is just live it. Do whatever makes you happy and that's it nothing more. you might be living it the wrong way way but who else are you hurting. and that's the question that a lot of people don't think of who else am i hurting but in reality you may be hurting more that yourself. so this answer it depends to the person. If they really want to be a "superhero" and be the world savior alright but if you want to be a happy person with no stress alright.

QQC #4

"" But I am afraid i have another question""

I like this quote because the whole book is about questioning and answering and to me this is funny because he has to tell Ismael this but this is good because with out questioning we wouldn't get anywhere and elaborate our minds.

I wonder if Ishmael is ever going to ask a question not a rhetorical one though.

QQC #3

"" That's it! They are acting as if they were the gods themselves. (Quinn 177)

I chose this quote because the humans, us are acting like gods after the skit and the reading of the book i came to the conclusion that we are acting like gods. God first made the earth then separated the skies and the waters then made light then fruit and trees and plants then animals then at the end created man. if we agree with Ishmael's animals were here first but because we are "smarter and bigger" than the animals we say how animals and trees and everything on this earth is used. i dont really know wher im going with this but I know that we pretending to be something we are not but thats my opinion.

INTERVIEW with FRIENDS

There i was outside of the Golden Spoon hanging out with friends from church. as we were sitting there enjoying delicious yogurt ice cream we started talking about whats going on in our life and in school and I brought up the interview we had to do for Humanities and we stated talking about the subject of how we are supposed to be taking care of our world and why do it.
it started by me just simply asking what do u think about the world?
Luciano who is a little older than everybody said that yea its good to e taking care of the world if you can do it why not. and since everybody is younger than him and look up to Luciano everybody agreed. and started talking about how everybody recycles and everybody said that they put everyhting in the right bins and just be mindful like what goes where like the cans and bottles in the blue bin and plants and and grass in the green one. since everybody live in eastlake they are used to idea of doing what they are supposed to be doing. the talk didnt last that long because people had to leave and from there we had plans after that. but what I got from the short talk was that the people was raised

QQC #2

a quote that i really liked was the quote in page 81
"Then we move into the Star Trek era. Man moves out into space and conquers and rule the entire universe. And that may be the ultimate destiny of man: to conquer and rule the entire universe. That's how wonderful man is." " (Quinn 81)

I like this quote because the character in the book is saying what the future may hold if we are out in this earth to rule what is when we "finish" conquering the world we have to rule something else so we never stop doing what we were supposed to be doing which is to rule the earth. and star trek is a pretty awesome series. That's why i like this quote and its easy to believe what the furut may hold if we continue this ruling what avaliable.

Hello the world is waiting

The Creation of Man

I grew up learning that God the creator of all things created man. From creating Adam and Eve and letting them reproduce and popularize the world. but theres other theories from other people that man came from evolution and that we come from monkeys or something like that. many people have many beliefs and i don't want to make people that god is the creator of all thing or make people make me think that evolution is what happen.

יִשְׁמָעֵאל

"I was after something else entirely,
but it wasn't in the Yellow Pages or
anywhere else that I could discover."
- Page 5-

i picked this quote because what the character is looking for is something that can be found or that its so unimportant to many people that they don't even bother stating the job. And from this u can see that the character is different than the rest of the people of the world maybe he is going to do something different.

Right now i understand everything that is going on so im really liking the book so far.

Artist Statement

Give Me Liberty, or Give Me Death!
By: Andrew Apodaca, Daniel Huante, Leslie Reyes, and Aryeh Ruiz
Photography and edited with Photoshop

On December 26, 1776 George Washington led his men across the Delaware River and onward to victory during the American Revolution. America’s mother-country, England, had been unfairly taxing the colonies through the Tea Act, Stamp Act, Boston Port Bill, Townshend Act, etc... The colonies, wanting a representative government, decided they were ready to become their own independent country. The Americans formed the Continental Army to oppose the English, directed by George Washington. By reading Rise to Rebellion by Jeff Shaara, which takes place during this process of establishing freedom, our group was able to see the colonists’ perspective as they worked towards building America.
This portrait is designed to show the leadership of George Washington and his men ready to head into battle, despite how underprepared they were. The Continental Army was outnumbered by the English army, but they charged valiantly into battle. The flag and uniform on George Washington are key elements in the portrait; they show the time period as well as Washington’s authority as commander in chief. Also, the color blue is especially important, as that represented America. English soldiers wore the opposite color, red. This portrait was taken with a digital camera and enhanced in Adobe Photoshop. Our initial plans were to take the portrait at Imperial Beach, and decided to use the rocky outcrop as the background when we arrived. Throughout the photo shoot we had trouble capturing a believable scene, but managed to find a shot that we were proud of.

My new thesis Maybe...

WAR

The American Revolution War didn’t start in a fight. Like every other fight there has to be a reason to fight and time to let thing gets this big. A long time ago the Americans got tired of living the way they were. There was tax on everything and the tax was also very high. People got tired because they started to tax everything from sugar to whiskey. stuff people buy all the time.
In Boston one day the Americans started to come out of their houses and wanted to do something because they couldn’t take it. The Americans planned on going out and starting something but the riot led to more than just a riot. 5 man got shot, this was the Boston massacre. The Boston massacre is what broke the line. And the Americans started to take command. The Americans told the British that were going to take matter into our own hands and start a revolution. The kings of Britain send soldiers to the colonial lands and wanted to stop the Americans from doing this revolution.
In Lexington where the war to independence started, this war led everybody know that this serious and the sons of liberty made the army and navy in the continental congress. Some battles were won some loss but in the end the Americans won to their independence. But how did the Americans won being new to this war fighting? Was it the true meaning of being a real American and really wanting being a country of their own?

Annoted Bibliography AR

Hi Guys,
Here is your second blog assignment!
1. Find one good source on the San Diego Library website for your research topic. (One you think you will be able to use or that helps you shape your research question, or answer it)
2. Cite that source using the MLA guidelines listed on my DP
3. Write a paragraph explaining that source (what was it about? what topics doe sit cover? why was is useful? how did you use it?)
4. There should be two sources for each group.
5. Feel free to copy and paste the MLA citation, but both people should read the article and write their own annotation (paragraph explaining the source)

"Leaders, strategy and tactics in the American War of Independence." Study Unit. History Study Center. ProQuest LLC. 12 Feb. 2009 .

this page helped me a lot about my question but i think that a little more pages and more time researching might helped me understand how and the Americans win the the war. i earned a lot about how the military branches were formed and when. another question i might have is why have an army, navy and marines?? best thing i learned from the article was that George Washington led the colonist to victory then became president, i did not know that.

Rise to Rebellion

http://www.bookstellyouwhy.com/pictures/10351.jpgRise to Rebellion by Jeff Shaara
The book Rise to Rebellion is a book about the American Revolution, it starts from the Boston Massacre all the way to the signing to the Declaration of Independence. Im at the part where the people are starting to realize and think of what the king of Britain is wrong and the people are angry i think is where they start planning something. From what i know I think that the people are going to go to the Boston Tea Party and make a mess and start a war.
A good question related to the book and to the American Revolution is "How had the American's war for independence influence the tactics which were used for battle?"
